Mount Shuksan Decaf Roast
Mount Shuksan, is derived from the Lummi word, "šéqsən", said to mean "high peak". It is a dramatically glaciated peak in the North Cascades National Park directly to the east of Mount Baker. It sits at an elevation of 9,135 feet and is capped by a three-sided peak called the Summit Pyramid. With its jagged beauty and captivating hanging glaciers, it's no wonder it is one of the most highly photographed peaks in the U.S.A.
Our Mount Shuksan Roast coffee is produced from the El Diamante Swiss Water Process Decaf from Florencio Villatoro, Guatamala. Swiss Water Processis (SWP) is a non-chemical method of decaffeination where green coffee beans are soaked in hot water to dissolve the caffeine, after which the mixture is passed through an activated charcoal filter that selectively removes the caffeine molecules. This intricate process, renowned for preserving the coffee beans' original flavors and characteristics, results in 99.9% caffeine-free coffee.
